As had been speculated earlier in the month, Ra'Sean Dickey
committed to Georgia Tech. The main reason for this
speculation has always been his friendship with Zam Frederick, who
signed with Tech about a month ago. Dickey ultimately chose
Tech over Auburn, with Clemson being a distant third. Along
with Anthony Morrow, Paul Hewitt has put together a quality group of
kids. A nice way to reward the GT administration, after he..

Look for Livingston to make his decision on November 5th (give or
take a day.) Shaun visited Illinois this past weekend, his
fourth of four official visits (Illinois, Arizona, Duke, UNC.)
I cant really come out and give a prediction on which school he will
choose. Livingston is terribly diplomatic in his comments, and
has done a good job about giving each team an equal amount of pub.
I think if he wants to go down as an NCAA legend, he'll need..

Maureece Rice has surfaced at Laurinburg Prep, and is hoping to
parlay his experience into a D1 scholarship. Rice, who became
Philly's all-time leading scorer (passing Wilt Chamberlain,) is
obviously a big time scorer, but lacks the physicality to be
considered a top prospect. I think he can surprise teams with
his natural knack for scoring, regardless of what they perceive his
limitations to be.

Oliver Purnell continued his solid start
at Clemson with the committment of 6-8 forward James Mays. An
article from "The State" quotes Mays as saying he'll probably be
playing a slashing forward or a high post forward. But, with
the signing of high flying Cheyenne Moore and 6-5 forward Sam Perry,
I don't see how they'll be able to have Mays "slash" unless they
plan on using Perry at the two. Clemson still has a ways to go
in their quest for respectability, but this is certainly a solid
start.

Tim Pierce, a 6-7 SF out of Oakland, CA
has chosen ASU. Pierce had received early interest from the
likes of Kansas, Cinci, and California. Pierce visited ASU
last month during the same weekend as Quentin Thomas. Pierce
was once on the verge of entering the top 100 in 2004, has slipped
down to around 100th in his class by most observers due to his AAU
performances. Yet, he may be a steal for ASU.

Southwest Missouri State picked up a nice commitment from local
product Drew Richards. The 6-9 PF was also being recruited by
Texas Tech and Arkansas. Richards is a steal for SMS, and should be
able to get action in his freshman year. He's a banger inside
who can rebound and block shots, but obviously needs to get stronger
to do so in the Missouri Valley Conference.

Swann is down to UCONN and FSU, though with
Price going to UCONN, I feel this should be enough to push Swann to
UCONN. When Cincinnati was still in the picture for Swann, I
always felt his aggressive/athletic style would fit in best with the
Bearcats. For this same reason, Swann might have the swagger to want
to be the man at FSU instead being just another guy on campus for
UCONN. FSU is also in the running for Jason Rich and Charles
Thomas. The importance and pull of Leonard Hamilton cannot be
underestimated in the ongoing resurgence of FSU basketball.
